The World of Salil Chowdhury

I saw this film sometime back in the early '90s on the Television. These two songs, composed by Sanjoy Chowdhury, and Salilda are surprisingly well performed by Kumar Sanu. They were originally released in Bengali back in 1988 performed by Antara. "nagar hai to ye nagar" is the hindi version of "eso bosonaa" and "aisaa bhi hotaa hai" is the hindi version of "jaaninaa kano tumi ". See the Lyricist Salil page. Salil wrote the lyrics under a pseudname "Sudarshan". Don't ask me why. In this film both the songs are really wonderful with superb orchestration and arrangement. Listening to the orchestration and the wonderful arrangement I can see why Salilda's name also appears in the title.
