Song #MD4 (also the Title music) was originally composed for the Bombay Youth Choir as 'Tu zinda hai to zindagi ki jeet mei.n yakeen kar'(Lyrics: Shailendra). It seems that there are two versions of "bhoolaa do zindagi ke gam". The second version has different lyrics in the second antara and it also has extra lyrics and melody. Very strange indeed. The Title music version is the one I always had until someone sent me the extended version. So, Shailendra wrote three sets of lyrics for the same song !
Later Salil wrote the Bengali lyrics (Jibon jakhan sudhu dudin) for this song in 1982 during his stay in the USA and also recorded it there.
Song MD6 - "betaa bow wow wow" is a delightful song inspired by the 1956 hit of Eydie Gorme's 1956 popular hit "Mama teach me to dance", also made popular by many other singers.
