The quintessential Punjabi spirit of 'Dekho taanga meraa niraala' is so similar to O.P Nayyar's Asha-Rafi Duet 'uDei.n jab jab julfei.n teri' from the film 'Naya Daur'.
Similarly, there are quite a few Punjabi songs on the 'Mei.n luT gaee duniyaa walo.n' movement. One of them was sung by Shamindar Pal Singh for the composer Shardul Singh Kwatra in the film 'Mirza Saaheba'.The original Bengali version of the song# TW3 was sung by Dhananjoy Bhattyacharya in the film called 'Paasher Baari'.This song became a milestone in the Bengali modern music in the fifties. Bengalees had never heard such melody before.
The song 'Teena tan taa teena' (TW4) by Geeta and Manna, although in the film was never released in any record. Unfortunately it's one of those films which is nearly impossible to get to see anymore and neither a VHS is available which could be the only source to get the song.
